Liverpool go into the final day of the Premier League season praying for a miracle.

Jurgen Klopp’s side need to beat Wolves at Anfield and hope that Brighton can get a result against Manchester City.

The chances of that happening hasn’t been helped by the fact Brighton are now safe.

Cardiff’s loss to Crystal Palace last weekend meant that Chris Hughton’s side will be playing Premier League football next season regardless of what happens on the final day.

They certainly didn’t seem to be ‘on the beach’ when they picked up a 1-1 draw at the Emirates last Sunday.

However, it seems the players have been busy celebrating their survival this week.

That’s according to ESPN FC presenter Adrian Healy.

"I’ve got a mate who’s a Brighton fan who informs me that several of the Brighton players have been spotted out on the town for the last three nights in a row,” Healy claimed.

That won’t go down well with Liverpool fans.

In the studio, former Celtic player Craig Burley wasn’t particularly surprised and doesn’t think the Brighton players will care about trying to do Liverpool a favour.

"In the days before we were going for the title at Celtic, we were out for three days and we were going for the title, and won it by the way," said the 47-year-old.

"So I’d wholly anticipate that if they’ve got nothing to play for on their behalf, they’re having a few shandies, strawberry daiquiris. They’ve got a duty to the rest of the league and to Liverpool? Yeah, yeah, sod that."

If Brighton players look a bit worse for fair this afternoon against City, you’ll know why….
