The Premier League’s final day will be dominated by the incredible race for the title.

Liverpool sit on 94 points having lost once all season but still need a minor miracle to win their first ever Premier League title.

That’s because Manchester City are one point ahead of them and only need a win at Brighton today to retain the trophy.

If they do get that win, it will be 198 points earned over the previous two seasons for Pep Guardiola’s side.

Quite remarkable.

While Liverpool aren’t top of that all important table, they are top of an alternative table - the amount of matches shown on TV.

The Reds have been shown 29 times on this season, two more than any other club. As a result, their total prize money stands at £149.5 million this season.

Meanwhile, City have been on three times fewer.

It was only this week that Guardiola suggested that the media want Liverpool to win the title this season.

"People in the media desire Liverpool to win the title. So I am sorry for the people that it's in our hands," Guardiola told talkSPORT. 

"A lot of people, social media hoped that Liverpool would do it. At the end of the day, we are there. So I feel for them."

Does he have a point?

Well, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher hit back at Guardiola by saying: "Yes, Pep, I want Liverpool to win the title, but there is no social media conspiracy against City.

"I can only speak for myself about the accusation and say this: Pep is right to include me in his list, I am desperate for Liverpool to win the title".
