Liverpool's quest for their first ever Premier League title came to an end yesterday after a truly valiant effort.
Jurgen Klopp's side finished the season on 97 points following a 2-0 win over Wolves at Anfield, with Sadio Mane grabbing both goals.
However, Manchester City's impressive 4-1 victory away at Brighton meant Pep Guardiola's team just edged the Reds by a single point and retained their title.
City won their final 14 games of the season in what was one of the most enthralling title races in the competition's history.
Liverpool can hold their heads high after losing just one game all season, but there will naturally be rival supporters who will revel in the club's misery in the next few days.

- Alexander-Arnold stayed on the pitch with fans

Mohamed Salah's miss in the first-half that day proved to be a key moment in the title race.
Fortunately for Reds supporters, they still have the Champions League final against Tottenham to look forward to on June 1.
And it's very likely they will be challenging for the title once again next season, while Everton will be looking to try and break into the top six after an impressive end to the campaign.
Marco Silva's side drew 2-2 with Spurs yesterday and are beginning to look more like a team capable of challenging the elite in years to come.
