Manchester United fans have very little to shout home about right now.

Their domination of English football has come to an abrupt end since Sir Alex Ferguson left Old Trafford in 2013. They haven’t come close to winning another Premier League title since then.

Even when they finished second in the league last season, they were still 19 points behind noisy neighbours Man City.

Things were considerably worse for the Red Devils this term.

Finishing the campaign a whopping 32 points behind Pep Guardiola’s team - and 31 behind second-placed Liverpool - United end the season in sixth place, meaning they’ll compete in the Europa League rather than the Champions League next season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men failed to pick up a single victory from their last six games and had only won twice since that epic 3-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain, which now feels like an awfully long time ago.

However, just because their team have been terrible of late doesn’t mean United fans can’t take the p*** out of their rivals when the opportunity arises.

They regularly mock City supporters for a variety of reasons - one of which is their failure to sell out their stadium, even for the biggest fixtures.

And now they’re mocking them again after a video of their title celebrations outside the Etihad Stadium was posted on Twitter.

The video, which was filmed late on Sunday evening, hours after City sealed the title with a 4-1 win over Brighton, shows the players and coaching staff celebrating the title in front of (some of) the club’s fans.

It’s unclear how many supporters are actually there, though. By the sounds of it, it doesn’t sound like many.

Not only is the scene surprisingly quiet - imagine how loud it would have been outside Anfield had Liverpool won the league instead! - but the players were also doing ‘cringe’ things like celebrating with an inflatable banana.

'Manchester City fans celebrating their League title is one of the most embarrassing things I’ve laid my eyes on,’ @DevilsOfUnited tweeted. ‘This is truly shocking.'

‘It actually sounds like there’s about 20 people there,’ a different fan posted.

‘Heard more noise at an afternoon bowls session,’ said another.

It continued: ’I can’t get my head around those inflatable bananas.. Why?’

‘I feel bad for the Man City players they deserve better fans,’ and so on.

However, other United fans were quick to point out that, right now, they are in no position to be mocking any other club - let alone the new back-to-back Premier League champions.

‘Our performances are more embarrassing,’ one said.

Hard to disagree with that.

‘Man, they win the leagues so they can do anything they want..’ another said. ‘Just focus on our shambles club mate, I'm afraid with this players in our squad to compete next season’.
