Bayern Munich have been granted permission from Manchester City to negotiate a transfer for Leroy Sane.
The 23-year-old German winger has played a key role in City's last two Premier League title-winning campaigns, scoring 20 goals and notching 25 assists across the two seasons.
His pace, trickery and power are characteristics that make him a nightmare for any full-back, but it's his attitude that has come under scrutiny in 2018/19.
Ever since he was omitted from Germany's 2018 World Cup squad, things just have not been the same.
And according to the Daily Record, City are now considering his sale, especially as he is no closer to agreeing a new deal in Manchester - his current contract expires in 2021.

As such, Bayern have been granted permission to speak to Sane's representatives about a possible deal.
City's director of football Txiki Begiristian has admitted to his friends that he may be forced into selling so as to recoup a large part - or more - of the £37m fee they paid Schalke.
Given that Sane has spent a lot of time on the bench this season due to the rise of Bernardo Silva, the deal appears to make sense for both parties.
Bayern are desperate for exciting wide players to cope with the losses of both Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben this summer.
Niko Kovac's side do have Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman on their books, but the manager will know he needs to add some serious depth out wide to become a force in the Champions League.
Bayern have already sealed deals for French internatioals Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernandez as the club look to overhaul an ageing squad.
If they can pull off the Sane deal quickly, their summer will have got off to the perfect start.
As for City, they will most likely look to use the money to bolster their midfielder, with Bruno Fernandes, Rodri and Tanguy Ndombele just some of the names linked with the Etihad.News Now - Sport News
