After the whole Viking Experience name fiasco we got just after WrestleMania, you would've thought Vince McMahon and his creative team would have learnt from the backlash of the situation to not hand out any daft team-names.
Well it seems as though he's not learnt his lesson.
When NXT Tag Team Champions 'War Raiders' were given the call-up to the main roster as part of the Superstar Shake-up, no-one really anticipated a name change.
It made sense though because since the September 11 attacks in 2001, WWE dropped the 'War' part of Monday Night Raw, and even though there's an NXT show titled 'War Games', it's seemingly given a pass as it isn't on mainstream television.
But the choice of 'The Viking Experience' for their new name, coupled with changing their actual names from Hanson and Rowe to Ivar and Erik, baffled WWE fans so much and it pretty much took over the entire focus of the show.
They've now settled on 'The Viking Raiders', but Vince has wheeled out the new tag team name book for a duo that as of last night didn't have a name at all.
Kairi Sane and Asuka were lumped together a few weeks back during the Shake-up, and are unbeaten as a pairing.
But not even they are safe from the lottery of a brand new tag team name.
And that name is 'The Kabuki Warriors'.
Kabuki is a 'classical Japanese dance-drama', and well, the Warriors part doesn't really need any explaining.
Some teams really don't need a unique name to distinguish themselves and it feels like it's the case here, with the choice of title being widely criticised and mocked.
Turns out though it wasn't actually a Vince decision, as Paige has revealed Kairi and Asuka chose the name themselves.
Give it a few weeks and they may become 'The Kabuki Experience'.News Now - Sport News
