What Jurgen Klopp has achieved at Liverpool is simply remarkable.
Even if they come up short against Tottenham in the Champions League final, the turnaround at Anfield over the last four years has been staggering.
The Reds have gone from struggling to finish higher than Everton, to one that's competing in European finals and amassing the third highest points tally in Premier League history.
Sure, there has been some heavy spending along the way with Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker arriving for then world-record fees in their positions.
However, what makes the progress so impressive is the lack of transfer splurging compared to clubs like Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and even Manchester United.

Liverpool's progress under Klopp
Let's not forget that Klopp has transformed an academy graduate and a £8 million signing from Hull City into two of the best full-backs in European football.
That's not to mention the improvements made to a Georginio Wijnaldum who was relegated with Newcastle United and a James Milner that was tossed aside at the Etihad Stadium.
All in all, Klopp has made the kind of progress that most managers fail to do with double the resources and all that's missing is that maiden trophy on Merseyside.
Liverpool's rising transfer values
Nevertheless, ahead of the final in Madrid, Klopp can at least find solace in the statistical benefits he's brought to Anfield and particularly in respect to transfer values.
There's perhaps no better way of demonstrating how the Liverpool boss has bettered his players than by seeing how the squad's worth has changed under his coaching.
And using the data collected by Transfermarkt, it shows that Klopp has made a significant difference with almost every player rising in cost and certain individuals have seen a massive rise.
See below for the increase (or decrease in rare cases) of transfer value between their estimation on the day they signed to the current date:

Adam Lallana: -£6.3 million
Forwards

Xherdan Shaqiri: +£4.5 million
Roberto Firmino: +£50 million

Liverpool in a strong position
The statistics are pretty remarkable, especially when you consider Liverpool's notorious front three have seen their values rise by a combined £150 million since they arrived.
That's not to mention the stunning price rises for players like Alexander-Arnold, Robertson, Gomez and even Van Dijk in spite of his world-record transfer fee.
The sheer lack of players who have gone downhill is astonishing, too, with only the trio of Mignolet, Moreno and Lallana finding themselves on the slide.
It goes to show that almost everybody is on the rise at Liverpool and finances is yet another area where Klopp has brought about the improvements.
Losing that Champions League final would seem like a disaster to fans, but even in that unthinkable scenario, the club is still sitting pretty.
