What a season it has been for Manchester City.

While the immortality of the quadruple slipped painfully through their grasp, Pep Guardiola’s juggernaut still has the chance to clinch an unprecedented domestic treble.

Having already won the Carabao Cup in February, City manfully defended their Premier League title, pipping Liverpool to the post on the final day.

Now, they have an FA Cup final to look forward to against Watford on Saturday as they look to make it a clean sweep of domestic silverware.

Only a dramatic loss to Tottenham in the Champions League saw them fail in their mission to win every trophy available to them.

However, with the Cup final only three days away, it seems City have already turned their attention to continuing their monopoly next season.

In fact, so great is their confidence in dominating the landscape of English football that they have already booked their hotel for next season’s cup finals.

“There is an understanding they get first pick on the hotel for any domestic cups. They have already got things sorted for next year,” said an unnamed source in a report in The Sun.

That’s right - City are so certain that they will be challenging for trophies again next season that they have already arranged their accommodation.

According to the report, Guardiola’s side has booked rooms at the Wembley Hilton for the nights before the Community Shield, the Carabao Cup final and the FA Cup semi-finals and final.

While many may have scoffed at such a move in the past, you can’t help but feel that it is somewhat justified with this City team.

It really is quite difficult to see how they can be stopped.

Just ask Liverpool - they enjoyed the best season in their illustrious history and still fell short of City in the league.

Strange things can happen in football, however, and opposing fans will be ready and waiting for this to backfire.

Unfortunately, with this City side only set to get stronger over the summer, they could be waiting a long time.
