Rob Green may well have the best job in world football. The Chertsey born player was a top goalkeeper during his prime. He was first choice at West Ham United for six seasons and made 13 appearances for England. Now 39 years old, Green spends his days at Chelsea.Green himself would admit that he isn't good enough to play regularly in the Premier League anymore.

But he still managed to sign for Chelsea last summer to be their third choice goalkeeper.

It's been reported that Green picks up £20,000-per-week just to sit on the bench. That's not a bad job at all.

But last night he was given first team action.

In a friendly against New England Revolution, Green came on in the 88th minute in what is just his second appearance for the club and his first since August.

And his teammates made it an extra special one.

Marcos Alonso, Eden Hazard, David Luiz and Olivier Giroud stood up and serenaded Green as he got ready to go on.

Watch it below:

That's class. It's likely Green's last appearance for Chelsea and potentially the last of his football career.

He'll definitely remember that moment for the rest of his life.

Green spoke about his role at Chelsea earlier this year.

"It is not something I ever envisaged doing when I set out - thinking 'oh yeah I'd love to be a third-choice keeper' - but your situation changes as your career goes on," he said, per the BBC.

"My involvement hasn't been as much as I would have liked but it was made clear from the start; if everyone remains fit that is the role I have got.

"I can't really complain when that is exactly how it has panned out.

"I go to all of the meetings, do all of the pre-match, do the warm-up and help in every way you can, whether it is collecting balls, saving shots or crossing balls in.

"Then, when the players are ready to come out on to the pitch, you are getting changed and more often than not at away games I find a cup of tea and go and sit in the stand."
