Mohamed Salah is coming off the back of another successful season.

He's just won his second Golden Boot - although this time, he has to share it with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Liverpool teammate Sadio Mane.

All three of those men netted 22 goals over the course of the Premier League campaign.

With eight assists to his name too, it's been quite a year for Salah on a personal level. However, his team once again came up short domestically.

Liverpool were beaten to the league by Manchester City and the title race came down to just one point - which is heartbreaking for Jurgen Klopp's side.

However, they have a chance to win the Champions League in a couple of weeks time and that will no doubt go some way to healing the wounds.

Liverpool will no doubt be a force to be reckoned with again next season - but if the latest rumours are to be believed, they could well be without Salah come August.

According to Philippe Carayon, a French journalist who works for Canal+, Real Madrid have made 'initial contact' with Salah over a sensational summer move.

Carayon appeared on a TV show this week to make the revelation that boss Zinedine Zidane is understandably very keen on the Egyptian.

"There have been some initial contacts between Real Madrid and Mohamed Salah," he revealed during the appearance.

Carayon's sensational claims come just weeks after reports of a bust-up between Klopp and Salah, which had Spanish paper AS suggesting that the forward was pushing for a move away from Anfield.

Those reports were rubbished by Salah's agent and these latest claims seem even more outrageous.

After all, would Salah even want to play in the same team as Sergio Ramos, given the history between the pair?
