Santi Cazorla has been named in Spain's latest squad.La Roja will play two fixtures in June, starting with a trip to the Faroe Islands on June 7 and finishing with a home match against Sweden three days later.

It is the first time the former Arsenal fan-favourite has featured on the international scene since 2015.

Cazorla suffered a horrific Achilles injury at Arsenal, which had doctors believing that he would struggle to walk again.

But the 34-year-old has defied all odds and has turned in a magnificent season for an under-achieving Villarreal side.

Without the little midfield maestro, the Yellow Submarine would really have been struggling.

Cazorla scored four goals and assisted 10 more in his 34 La Liga matches, including a man-of-the-match performance in the 4-4 draw against Barcelona.

It's almost impossible not to be happy for him.

Cazorla won the Euros in 2008 and 2012 with La Roja, but was sadly injured when Spain lifted the World Cup in 2010.

LUIS ENRIQUE'S LATEST SPAIN SQUAD

Goalkeepers - De Gea, Kepa, Lopez

Defenders - Ramos, Hermoso, Llorente, Carvajal, Alba, Navas, Martinez, Gaya, Roberto

Midfielders - Cazorla, Busquets, Parejo, Fabian, Isco, Oryazabal, Rodri

Forwards - Rodrigo, Aspas, Morata, Asensio

Alvaro Morata's form with Atletico since signing in January has earned him a place back in the squad, while Jesus Navas' performances at right-wing back for Sevilla have earned him a recall.

Spain struggled at the 2018 World Cup, but will no doubt be one of the heavy favourites for Euro 2020.
