Real Madrid have had one of their worst seasons in recent memory.

Since August, they've sacked two managers before turning back to Zinedine Zidane and Los Blancos will finish this campaign trophyless.

But surprisingly, there are still a few things to be happy about - although it's mostly off the pitch that Real are improving.

According to Brand Finance, the world’s leading independent brand valuation consultancy, the La Liga giants are now the most valuable football brand in the world.

In 2019, they've overtaken Manchester United in terms of the size of their brand, which is now worth a huge £1.416 billion - compared to United's £1.266 billion.

But the good news doesn't end there, because the annual consultancy report has also ranked the Santiago Bernabeu as the world's best stadium.

Brand Finance have based their list on a number of factors, including 'Match Day Experience', 'Appeal to Broadcasters' and 'Match Impact'.

With an overall 'venue score' of 74.3, Real's Bernabeu has beaten Borussia Dortmund's Signal Iduna Park and Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena to top spot.

At the Bernabeu, Match Day Experience is rated as 68.5, Appeal to Broadcasters is scored 82.3 and Match Impact is rated at 72.

Signal Iduna Park, which comes second on the list, scores 74.1, 84.8 and 54 in each of the categories, while the Allianz Arena was given 65.6, 86.6 and 62.8.

Overall, Dortmund scored 72.3, while Bayern rounded off the top three spots with a score of 71.6.

There are also two English clubs that feature in the top 10 - with Tottenham and Man United ranking in fourth and fifth place respectively.

Despite a poor season, Real are still dominating commercially. They're now officially recognised as the strongest football brand and they also boast the best stadium in the world too.
