The IIconics deny Sasha Banks and Bayley were upset after WrestleMania loss

WWE fans haven't seen Sasha Banks in the ring since she lost the Women's Tag Team Championship alongside Bayley to The IIconics at WrestleMania 35.

According to reports, The Boss was unhappy with WWE for taking the title off her so soon into her reign, and she has taken a hiatus from the company as a result.

Some reports have even suggested that Banks has quit WWE and that she plans to sit out the remainder of her contract, no matter how much time remains.

Before taking her hiatus from WWE, reports also claimed that the four-time Raw Women's Champion and her tag team partner Bayley expressed their unhappiness by lying on the floor and making it loudly known they were not happy.

During an interview with the Express Sport, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay of The IIconics were asked if they had heard of this rumoured unprofessionalism, to which they said they didn't see or hear anything of the sort.

In fact, for them at least, it was quite the opposite, as it was a very emotional atmosphere between the two tag teams.

Royce said: “Immediately after the match we were all in tears, all crying. Just filled with emotion, we got pictures together which we then posted on our Instagram.

"I mean, I know there’s all these rumors going around and we didn’t see anything. Everyone was super happy and excited for us. The rumors to us is [that] we didn’t see anything that we’re hearing.”

Kay added: “Yeah, we don’t really pay attention to rumors or social media and all that kind of stuff in that aspect.

"We had a great experience with them and it holds a really special place in our hearts. You can find them [pictures], we’re all embracing each other.”

While Banks has recently made it clear that she hasn't left the WWE, it's currently unclear as to when she will return. She didn't travel to Europe with WWE despite being listed for the tour.

The Boss was originally booked to be in the women's Money in the Bank ladder match at Money in the Bank this weekend, but her recent absence meant WWE had to replace her with Dana Brooke.

WWE fans will be hoping that Sasha returns to the ring sooner rather than later.

As for The IIconics, despite being the Women's Tag Team Champions, they currently don't have a match for this Sunday's Money in the Bank show.
