Deontay Wilder retained his WBC world heavyweight title on Saturday night with a stunning first-round knockout against Dominic Breazeale.Breazeale was expected to put up a good fight, but in the end it was no contest as Wilder floored the American with 43 seconds remaining of the opening round.Wilder's record now stands at 41 wins from 42 bouts - 40 of which being knockouts.Every boxing fan now wants to see the Bronze Bomber take on Anthony Joshua in a title showdown.Joshua - who faces Andy Ruiz Jr at Madison Square Garden in New York on June 1 - currently holds the IBF, WBA (Super) and WBO belts. And he'd be foolish to disregard Wilder as an opponent after the American made easy work of Breazeale.Wilder's emphatic knockout can be seen in the videos below, with the second capturing it in slow motion.

What a punch.

Wilder has come under fire this week for once again suggesting he wants to kill an opponent in the ring.

But he was nothing but respectful after the fight, saying: "Everything came out of me tonight. I know it's been a big build-up, a lot of animosity, chaos and hatred to one another, a lot of words said.

"It just came out tonight. This is what makes boxing great. When you have stuff to overcome. I've told him I love him and I want to see him go home to his family.

"I know we say things we mean sometimes but when you get into a fight and settle your differences, if you can then hug him and kiss him, I wish the world was like that.

"Handle things with our hands and then live to see another day."
