Roma legend Francesco Totti was loyalty personified. If ever there was a footballer who best encapsulated the term “one club man”, it was the Italian forward.Totti made a staggering 786 appearances for the club during a career spanning 24 years. He retired two years ago at the ripe old age of 40, having netted 307 goals - only.In his pomp, Totti was one of the most feared hitmen on the continent and could make even the best defender look rather silly.

However, it seems that the business of making the opposition look silly is not easily forgotten, as Totti proved in a recent Futsal tournament he was playing in.

The 42-year-old was well and truly beaten after having the ball flicked over his head by a young opponent, but his years of experience shone through as he waited for the attack to break down and then made his move.

The skilful opponent inevitably lost control and the break was on.

Totti’s team picked him out beautifully and with one, stunning touch, the Italian lofted the ball over the goalkeeper and into the net.

You can watch Totti’s brilliance in the video below:

Beautiful - have you ever seen something so casual and effortless in your life?

Let this come as a warning - he might be 42, but disrespecting Totti can have some pretty serious consequences - all he needs is one touch.

For a few seconds, the crowd were even laughing at Totti but that certainly didn’t last long.

The striking legend made sure he got the last laugh, instantly wiping out any embarrassment from a few seconds earlier.

The Roma faithful will have to bid farewell to another legend this week after midfielder Daniele de Rossi announced that he too would be calling time on his career.

A Roma team without both Totti and De Rossi is certainly going to take some getting used to.
