Those of a certain age will remember the Disney classic 101 Dalmations, featuring Pongo, Perdy and Cruella de Vil.

Well, anyone with a particular fondness for the 1996 film will now get to wear a pair of football boots with a pattern that bears a likeness to the pooches.

Nike are set to realise the limited edition next-generation Nike Tiempo Legend VIII boots, which feature a black and white spotted look.

The pattern, named ‘Dazzle Camp’ disguises a distorted Tiempo writing.

The design won’t be to everyone’s taste but you will certainly stand out on the pitch.

The £200 boots have already been worn by Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Gerard Pique.

That’s three high-profile names. No doubt the boots are going to fly off the shelfs when they are released.

Nike release ‘Dazzle Camo’ Tiempo Legend VIII

According to FootyHeadlines, they are expected to release in June 2019 and come packed with features.

They include a distinct 3-D upper structure designed to improve touch and ball control.

The Flyknit-constructed heel and tongue provides breathability and support.

The kangaroo leather shoe also has the Hyperstability plate that was first debuted in the Tiempo Legend VII, released in 2017.

It’s designed for “multi-directional movements,” Nike claim.

Clearly, Van Dijk and Pique are fans.

Nike have been on a roll lately, launching the brand new Total 90 Laser boots in March.

The shoes were a re-make of the first generation Laser I, which were worn by the likes of Luis Figo, Fernando Torres and Wayne Rooney.

Whether it’s re-designed versions of old classics, or a new design inspired by Disney films, it’s safe to say that Nike are smashing it right now.
