Lionel Messi just continues to amaze.

The Argentine forward has had another terrific season.

He's scored 50 times in 49 games and could yet add to that tally in the Copa del Rey final.

It's the sixth season of his career where he has scored over a half-century of goals.

But it's not just his goal-scoring exploits that have stood out.

Messi continues to do anything and everything with the ball at his feet.

At 31 years old, Messi is past his peak and should be on the decline.

But he's still quick and remains one of the best dribblers in the world.

And he has shown that on a number of occasions this season.

A video has emerged of Messi 'destroying' some of the world's best players with the ball at his feet this season.

In the clip multiple big name players including Fabinho, Antoine Griezmann and Luka Modric all attempt to stop Messi but can't get anywhere near him.

Watch it below:

He really is unstoppable at times.

That skill to beat Filipe Luis still needs explaining. Incredible.

While all the players in the video were made to look silly, there really isn't too much shame of being embarrassed by a player that has already cemented his status as one of the best players of all time.

Despite Barcelona falling short in the Champions League, Messi has been touted as the early front-runner for the Ballon d'Or.

And Kylian Mbappe is just one name that thinks he deserves his sixth Ballon d'Or crown.

"The favourite [for the Ballon d’Or] is Messi,” Mbappe said earlier this week, per Goal.

“The elimination in Champions does not change anything, he is the number one in everything," added the Frenchman.

“He has shown this year that he is the best player and although the year goes until December, I'm not worried about him, he's going to play until December."
