It seems unlikely that Alexis Sanchez has a future at Manchester United beyond this summer.

Signed from Arsenal in a swap deal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan last year, the Chilean has been nothing short of abysmal over the past 18 months.

He looks a shadow of the player that scored 24 Premier League goals for Arsenal in 2016/17, whether that be because of his age or United's style of play.

In 32 league appearances for United - 11 of which coming from the bench - Sanchez has only scored three times. His last came in a 3-2 win against Newcastle in October.

It's incredible to think that he currently earns £500,000-per-week for doing nothing.

Reports suggest Inter Milan are interested in signing Sanchez but only if he's prepared to take a huge wage cut.

Sanchez, however, has a contract with United until 2022 and is probably quite happy to stay considering the money he's on.

And who can blame him? Sanchez is living the life of Riley at the moment and it seems he's had enough spare time on his hands to play a leading role in a movie called 'Mi Amigo Alexis'.

It's about a young boy from Chile who dreams of following in his hero's footsteps and it hits cinemas on May 30, as Sanchez explained on Instagram.

"I am happy to participate in this movie, it's very nice to enjoy as a family," wrote the 30-year-old. "May 30th in cinemas."

Hopefully Sanchez's acting skills are better than his skills on the football pitch, otherwise the movie will follow the same path as his United career.

Having said that, Sanchez has been pretending to be a good footballer for the past 18 months so maybe he's a natural.
