Antoine Griezmann is looking for a new club after confirming his Atletico Madrid exit.

The Frenchman has been flirting with a move away from the Spanish capital for a few years now, but he has finally taken the plunge by announcing his plans in an official video.

It was quickly assumed that Griezmann would be signing for Barcelona, having been on the brink of a move to Camp Nou just one year ago.

However, it seems the Blaugrana were understandably offended by his bizarre documentary last summer and Spanish reports claim that the squad don't want him anywhere near the club.

An article from Catalan newspaper Sport explained: "The group thinks a player acting in that way, not just to Barca but to his own club Atletico too, is not worthy of wearing the shirt."

Considering Griezmann has already jumped ship from Madrid, that leaves him in something of an awkward position and there are only a select number of clubs that can accommodate him.

After signing a new Atletico contract last summer, his release clause sits at €105 million and it can only be imagined that the club will hold out for a nine-figure fee.

However, it seems that Manchester United could actually be an outside contender for his signature, potentially rekindling the transfer saga that rumbled on throughout 2016.

That's according to the Independent, who have provided a huge update on Griezmann's future and one explaining that communications have re-opened with the Red Devils.

The report reveals: "Sources have told The Independent that communication has been re-established with United, and a deal is possible.

"Some key figures in European football even believe that Old Trafford is Griezmann's most likely next destination."

The fact his brother is a massive United supporter and that family features so strongly in his entourage, also increases the chances of a move as well as his friendship with Paul Pogba.

It's even speculated that Griezmann arriving at Old Trafford would help persuade Pogba to stay at the club, having been linked with a Real Madrid switch through the summer.

The report also reiterates how the chances of a Barcelona move are quickly waning and key figures at the club have serious doubts about the benefits of signing him.

Some members of the Camp Nou hierarchy are enthusiastic about a deal, but the lack of agreement has led them to think money could be better spent elsewhere.

As a result, the door is wide open for United to sign the Frenchman and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been looking for someone to man the club's right flank.

With Borussia Dortmund demanding over €100 million for Jadon Sancho, United could get their hands on Griezmann three years later than expected.
