Deontay Wilder is currently celebrating after dispatching fellow American Dominic Breazeale in comfortable fashion at the Barclays Center last weekend.

The 33-year-old floored Breazeale to secure the 40th knockout victory of his career, taking just 137 seconds to get back to winning ways after his split-decision draw with Mancunian Tyson Fury In Los Angeles.

After successfully defending his world title, the Bronze Bomber is now being tipped to schedule a rematch against Fury, and finally agree a deal for a much-anticipated bout against Anthony Joshua.

Despite rumours of Luis Ortiz being granted a rematch against Wilder, the American’s co-manager Shelly Finkel revealed that negotiations are underway with both AJ and The Gypsy King.

Speaking to The Sun, Finkel confirmed that talks were ongoing with network DAZN and promoter Top Rank, who represent Joshua and Fury respectively, in the USA.

He said: "No, (rumours Ortiz fight was done) not true.

“That is something we are working on now, hopefully by next week it will be resolved.

“I had dinner the other night with John Skipper, we discussed the Joshua fight and I also have been in touch with Top Rank.

“We’re working on that, and those three fighters, Deontay will be fighting all of them in a succession which we will hopefully work out in the next couple of weeks.”

“In the next two weeks everything will be done, it will be said publicly what we’re doing and I believe the UK fans will also be happy.”

The news has been eagerly received by fans in the boxing community, but is somewhat unexpected.

Fury had seemingly dismissed the possibility of facing off against Wilder again, when he penned a deal with Top Rank, an affiliate of ESPN, a direct rival of Showtime, Wilder’s network.

Meanwhile, relations between Wilder’s management team and Joshua’s promoters, Barry and Eddie Hearn, appeared strained after the latter publicly criticised Finkel for shelving a unification bout until 2020.

But Finkel was clear that rivalling network contracts would not block the fights from taking place, appearing keen to announce the bouts in coming weeks.

"These two fights are too important for the fighters and the sport, they both will happen."

"There is not an issue with DAZN, there is not an issue with making the fight."

Fans can now rest assured that all parties are working hard towards organising the clashes, after multiple stalemates in negotiations led to Joshua cancelling his April 13th date at Wembley, and Wilder booking Breazeale over Fury for his fight in Brooklyn last Saturday.

Although it may not take place until 2020, it seems an undisputed heavyweight fight between Wilder and Joshua, likely to be one of the clashes of the century, will finally take place.
