Pep Guardiola's Manchester City became the first men's team in English history to win the domestic treble this season.

The 2018/19 campaign saw them win the League Cup in February, before beating Liverpool to the Premier League title in May.

A week later, a 6-0 win against Watford saw them lift the FA Cup, completing the historic treble.

Naturally, there's been a lot of attention on City after the way they've dominated English football - and Guardiola himself seems to be getting most of it.

The Spanish manager has been linked with a switch to Juventus after the Italian club announced Massimiliano Allegri will be replaced ahead of next season.

He leaves as one of the club's greatest ever managers, having won five consecutive Serie A titles and four Coppa Italia trophies. He also led Juve to two Champions League finals.

But his time in Turin is set to end. In fact, some reports have suggested that it's near enough a done deal for Guardiola to replace him after he's 'agreed to sign a four-year deal worth €24 million a year'.

Of course, that's all speculation. But Allegri himself has also added fuel to the fire this week.

Per Calciomercato, the departing Juve boss was out in public when he was asked who would be the club's next coach by a passing fan.

"A manager of Manchester is coming," Allegri said, hinting that Guardiola is on his way to Italy.

After all, it's highly unlikely he was talking about Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Like Man City, Juventus have been dominating on the domestic front - but winning the Champions League will be the main target for their next boss.

So, it's easy to understand why a man like Guardiola, who's won the competition twice, has been linked with the job - and Allegri's latest comments will further fuel rumours that he's on his way.
