Real Madrid badly need reinforcements this summer.

Los Blancos are coming off the back of one of the worst seasons in their recent history.

They ended the campaign without silverware, were knocked out of the Champions League in the last 16 and finished third in La Liga.

Not even Zinedine Zidane's arrival in March helped salvage their season.

The Frenchman was promised backing in the transfer market this summer and his main target is Eden Hazard.

Hazard has previously stated that he views a move to Real Madrid as a 'dream' and has reportedly told Chelsea he wants to move there this summer.

However, problems have arisen between both parties.

Chelsea are currently in the middle of a transfer ban and it is looking increasingly likely that they will be unable to get it overturned.

As a result, they will be unable to replace any departing players.

That means, despite Hazard only having one year left on his contract, Chelsea are reluctant to sell.

And latest reports suggest that Hazard may not get his dream move this summer after all.

Matt Law of the Telegraph writes that Real Madrid are preparing to make a move for Hazard after the Europa League final.

However, they have been told by Chelsea that they value Hazard at £130 million including bonuses.

That's much higher than Real Madrid's valuation of the player, who are reluctant to spend more than £88 million.

With both clubs so far apart in their valuations of the player, it is becoming increasingly likely that Hazard will remain a Chelsea player for at least another season.

The report does write that Los Blancos are confident of securing their man, but it seems they will have to spend a lot more than what they are currently prepared to pay for the Belgian winger.

Meanwhile, the Mirror report that Hazard has told friends that he wants a deal to be completed with Real Madrid by June 4.

That means we could find out about Hazard's future by the end of next week.
