The lightweight division in UFC has been a bit of a mess since Khabib Nurmagomedov was suspended for the fracas at UFC 229.No-one has been unluckier than Tony Ferguson, who could have probably commanded a title shot.Ferguson will face Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone on UFC 238 on June 8, the man who is now two wins from two fights at lightweight in 2019.Nothing came of Cerrone calling out Conor McGregor for a summer fight so he's quickly turning out against the number two-ranked Ferguson, after defeating Al Iaquinta less than a month ago.You can understand Ferguson being frustrated for not being given a shot at the interim lightweight title, instead that went to Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier, but he has had a lot of injury issues in the past.UFC have tried to make Ferguson against Nurmagomedov four times but both men have had their issues which have meant it's never happened. The Eagle is widely expected to face interim lightweight champion Poirier at UFC's Abu Dhabi show in September to unify the division, and you'd have to imagine that if Ferguson can get the job done against Cerrone, he will be next in-line.And Khabib's manager Ali Abdelaziz has already started the trash talk towards El Cucuy with a scathing Twitter post a few days ago.

Abdelaziz dubbed Ferguson a 'clown' for whatever reason, and it's caused Ferguson to respond in brutal fashion.

"Ain’t No Clowning Around You Fake F***," stated a Abdelaziz-directed tweet from Ferguson.

"You Better Leave My Name Out Of Your Mouth Before I Mop The Mat With Your Sorry A**.

"You Ain’t Shit W[ith]/ Out Your Homeboys Ya Snitch. No Pride, No Guts, Just Like Your Paper Chump @TeamKhabib See You In Person Soon."

Yikes.

Sounds like things could get tasty the next time Ferguson and Abdelaziz meet, but Ali just had to have the last word, threatening that he will indeed do something when they next come face-to-face.

Publicity stunt or not, it's got people talking and the demand for Khabib v Ferguson just keeps on growing.
