Manchester City legend David Silva may have played his final game for the club last weekend at Wembley.

The Spanish maestro opened the scoring in the FA Cup final against Watford, a game City went on to win 6-0.

That victory over the Hornets sealed a domestic treble for Pep Guardiola's side, the first one ever recorded in the history of the English men's game.

In the aftermath of that achievement, club legend and captain Vincent Kompany has already announced his departure - he will become the player-manager of Belgian side Anderlecht.

And another club legend is now seriously considering his future in the form of David Silva.

As reported by The Sun, the 33-year-old is being tempted by a two-year contract offer from an unnamed club in Qatar.

It is said that Silva would receive £12m tax free if he were to make the move.

City are aware of the situation and have already made Monaco's £40m-rated midfielder Youri Tielemans their number one priority.

The little Belgian thrived during a loan spell at Leicester in the second half of 2018/19, catching the eye of the Premier League elite.

Guardiola's side have already made contact with the Tielemans camp.

A City source said: “It would be a real shock if David does leave but he has had a great offer and is thinking it over hard. At the moment he’s more likely to go than stay.”

It's beginning to look likely that Sergio Aguero will be the last remaining player of City's 'old guard'.

Kompany, Yaya Toure, Pablo Zabaleta and more have all left in recent years to make way for new, world-class talent.

Silva's potentially final season with the club was far from his best, but he still managed to score six Premier League goals and assist eight more.

He will go down as one of England's greatest ever foreign imports and probably City's finest ever player.
