Celtic's dominance over Scottish football right now is bordering on scary.Neil Lennon's side won the Scottish Cup yesterday thanks to a 2-1 victory over Hearts.Striker Odsonne Edouard scored twice to cancel out Ryan Edwards' opening goal on 52 minutes. The victory meant Celtic sealed the treble - their third one in a row. That's right, the Bhoys have won the last nine domestic trophies on offer, a level of dominance that is unparalleled across Europe.

Even Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have slipped up in the cups in recent years, but not Celtic.

Rangers are probably the only club that can match Celtic in Scotland, but even with Steven Gerrard at the helm they have not come close.

And former Celtic striker Moussa Dembele couldn't resist comparing the 'achievements' of both clubs in a brilliant tweet.

DEMBELE'S TWEET

Dembele wrote: "Few weeks ago Rangers threw a party for their 6 wins in a row, today we celebrate making history and our 9 trophies in a row... Celtic Treble Treble winners, congrats to both clubs on their achievement 😂🏆🏆🏆 @CelticFC #ThisIsHowItFeelsToBeCeltic."

No wonder the Lyon striker is still a firm fan-favourite in Glasgow.

The Frenchman left the club while Brendan Rodgers was still in charge and was critical of the Northern Irishman's attachment to the club.

When Rodgers left for Leicester halfway through the campaign, Dembele was the first to say 'I told you so'.

Lennon has now been offered the job on a permanent basis and his task will surely be to elevate the club's status in European competition.

Despite their chokehold over Scottish football, Celtic have struggled in both the Champions League and the Europa League in recent years.
