It was a season to forget at Manchester United.

The Red Devils ended their campaign with a whimper, losing to relegated Cardiff City and slumping to a sixth-place finish in the league.

It was a season riddled with inconsistencies and frustrations as United’s gaggle of stars failed to force their way into the Champions League places.

Jose Mourinho was given the sack after a dreadful start to the season and, while replacement Ole Gunnar Solskjaer started like a house on fire, the form of his side went off a cliff in the latter stages.

There is no questioning that a major overhaul is required at Old Trafford and a busy summer could be on the cards.

One man whose future looks in serious doubt is French superstar, Paul Pogba.

Pogba ended the season as United’s leading scorer while also registering the most assists.

However, Pogba was never far from controversy and could be keen for pastures new after a tumultuous few years in Manchester.

Real Madrid have not tried to hide their admiration of Pogba and look the favourites to land the World Cup winner.

They might not have it all their own way though, with reports emerging today that Juventus have thrown their hat into the ring for their former star.

Outdoing Madrid in the transfer market is no small feat though, which has lead to the Italian giants making quite a tasty offer.

According to the Express, per the Mirror, the Serie A champions have offered both Paulo Dybala and Alex Sandro as a swap for Pogba.

If it proves to be true, such an offer would be difficult to rebuff for United.

Pogba seems to have his heart set on United, but he enjoyed some of the finest moments of his career in Turin.

It could be a long summer.
