A punching bag at Anthony Joshua’s training camp in Miami has borne the brunt of the current three-belt world champion’s sheer punching power.

Joshua is training hard in preparation for his debut bout in America on June 1, and a recent video posted by DAZN on YouTube shows that he hasn't lost his punching power.

The heavyweight boxer is currently being filmed by DAZN ahead of his world title defence vs Andy Ruiz Jr in New York, and they've caught one hell of a moment from one of the Brit's recent workouts.

This is Joshua’s first fight since September last year, where he convincingly disposed of Russian Alexander Povetkin at Wembley Stadium.

Joshua will be chomping at the bit to get in the ring in front of the 20,000 or so fans gathered at the world-famous Madison Square Garden - even if it isn't against the opponent everyone wanted.

AJ is cutting no corners ahead of his heavyweight title defence, having set up a training camp in Miami to help adjust to the American time-zone.

During a workout, Joshua landed a well-struck left hook to the centre of the bag, ripping it off its hinges.

Skip to 2:08 mark in the below video to witness the feat.

The 29-year-old Englishman was not expecting to send the bag crashing to the floor, his reaction showing that even he can be surprised by his tremendous strength.

Joshua is expected to add to his 22-0 record with another ruthless display this Saturday.

Boxing fans around the world will be hoping a victory here will set up a unification bout vs Deontay Wilder or an all-British contest vs Tyson Fury.

Anthony Joshua has told Fury and Wilder in no uncertain terms that he is getting better, and with power like this, it’s hard to disagree with the IBF, WBO and WBA(Super) champion.
