Watford chief executive Julian Winter has again reiterated his desire to keep manager Malky Mackay at Vicarage Road.

Mackay has been linked with the vacancy at npower Championship rivals Burnley after a fine season in charge of the Hornets, but Winter is adamant there has been no contact between the clubs.

He said: "We have had no formal approach from any club for Malky and if we did have we would reject it."
