Everyone is pulling together at Gigg Lane

It was JFK who uttered the immortal words ‘ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country’.

Bury fans have literally taken this message on board and, by arranging a sponsored walk from Gigg Lane to Accrington (a mere 14 miles or so), they hoped to assist the fund raising for redevelopment work at the training facilities and the rest toward Bury Hospice.

It's good to see what fans can do to support the club and the ‘Forever Bury’ website tried to recruit as many fans as possible for the cause.

Unfortunately the performance of the team couldn't match the dedication of the walkers and the Shakers went down 1-0 to a team they pulverised in the home fixture.
