Aldershot have appointed former Wimbledon and Bolton striker Dean Holdsworth as their new manager.
The npower League Two strugglers parted company with Kevin Dillon on Monday after a poor run of results and have turned to the 42-year-old to take charge at the Recreation Ground.
Holdsworth leaves his position at Blue Square Bet Premier newcomers Newport County - whom he has led to an impressive fifth in the table.
County won the Blue Square South last season with 103 points - a record haul for all three Conference divisions - beating the previous total set by Aldershot when the club was promoted to the Football League in 2008.
His first game as a league manager will come at Bury on Saturday.
