NBA Basketball Without Borders Africa

The 17th edition of Basketball Without Borders Africa opened today in at the NBA Africa Academy in Saly, Senegal, with 60 young boys and girls represented from 29 African countries. Amadou Gallo Fall, NBA Vice President and Managing Director for Africa and President of the Basketball Africa League, opened the festivities in the presence of current and former NBA players including Mutombo Dikembe, Chris Bosh, Joel Embiid, Malcolm Brogdon, Luol Deng, Gorgui Dieng and the newly signed Boston Celtics player Tacko Fall, both from Senegal. The 4 day training camp, organised by the NBA and FIBA is a basketball development and community outreach program that unites young basketball players to promote the sport and encourage positive social change in the areas of education, health, and wellness.
