Dagenham & Redbridge Vs Milton Keynes Dons, Sat 22 Jan 2011

New Dagenham recruit John Akinde will have to wait to make his debut after he was ruled out of the visit of MK Dons.

Striker Akinde has signed a loan deal from Bristol City until the end of the season but will miss out against Karl Robinson's men thanks to a slight groin strain.

Fellow new signing Marvin Morgan will continue his fledgling partnership in attack with Gavin Tomlin after Tomlin's goal gave John Still's men a surprise win at Hartlepool last weekend.

Midfielder Solomon Taiwo still has a hamstring problem. The on-loan Cardiff man is now back in full training but will not make Saturday.

Defender Will Antwi was back on the bench last week after a leg injury and will again be in the squad while striker Josh Scott has been admitted to hospital after failing to recover from a mystery virus.

MK Dons defender Mat Doumbe will require a late fitness test before the trip.

Centre-back Doumbe required 10 stitches in a nasty-looking head injury sustained against Tranmere last weekend but played in the 3-1 defeat to Plymouth in midweek.

However, the wound was opened up twice before Doumbe was forced off in the 78th minute and he will be thoroughly checked before being given the go-ahead to play again.

Fellow centre-back Gary MacKenzie is also doubtful after a clash of heads against the Pilgrims but Sean O'Hanlon returned from an ankle injury as a late substitute and is available.

Striker Sam Baldock has missed the last two games with a hamstring pull but is back in training and is hopeful of a place on the bench, while midfielder Mark Carrington is fit after a back injury.

On-loan QPR striker Angelo Balanta will be out of action until March with an ankle problem while fellow Rangers forward Rowan Vine will again be on the bench after joining the club last week.
