Romelu Lukaku has completed his move to Inter Milan for a reported £73 million.

The striker leaves Manchester United following months of speculation, just two years after arriving at Old Trafford.

He now leaves the Premier League side searching for a replacement in the final week of the transfer window.

It's believed United were targeting Juventus forward Paulo Dybala, but that deal looks unlikely now Lukaku has moved to Milan, rather than Turin in a swap deal.

Instead, the Red Devils have been sensationally linked with Arsenal's Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, but a deal would be very tough to complete.

They do have options in Marcus Rashford and youngster Mason Greenwood, but it's likely the club will want to bring in a world-class replacement.

A move to Italy offers Lukaku a fresh start after he struggled under Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last season.

In 45 appearances he scored just 15 goals, signalling a steep drop in form from the 2017/18 campaign when he found the net 27 times.

Lukaku will now link up with former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, who made it clear he was a big admirer of the player during his time in England.

Before he eventually moved to Man United, it was reported that Conte wanted to bring the Belgian back to Stamford Bridge.

He will now get the chance to deploy the striker at Inter instead, with the Nerazzurri aiming to close the gap to Juventus and Napoli, who finished first and second in Serie A last season.

Lukaku won't have long to find his feet though, with the first round of domestic fixtures being played on Saturday, August 24.

Conte has also brought in the likes of Valentino Lazaro, Nicolo Barella and Matteo Politano to improve his squad, while it remains unclear what Lukaku's arrival means for fellow striker Mauro Icardi.
