The summer transfer window for Premier League clubs is now shut.

Almost £1.5 billion has been spent and it’s now time to concentrate on the football.

However before Liverpool and Norwich raise the curtain for the 2019/20 campaign, we’ve decided to cast our opinion over the business done this summer.

And we’ve decided to rank each Premier League club’s transfer business and create our very own league table.

We’ve taken into account not only new signings but also those that have kept star players.

1 | Arsenal | Net spend: £82.5m

IN

Nicolas Pepe (Lille) £72m
Gabriel Martinelli (Ituano) £6m
William Saliba (Saint-Etienne) £27m
Dani Ceballos (Real Madrid) Loan
Kieran Tierney (Celtic) £25m
David Luiz (Chelsea) £8m

Out

Alex Iwobi (Everton) £35m
Aaron Ramsey (Juventus) Free
Petr Cech (Retired)
Danny Welbeck (Released)
Stephan Lichtsteiner (Released)
David Ospina (Napoli) £3.1m
William Saliba (Saint-Etienne) Loan
Xavier Amaechi (Hamburg) £2.25m
Krtstian Bielik (Derby County) £9.5m
Takuma Asano (Partizan Belgrade)
Laurent Koscielny (Bordeaux) Undisclosed
Carl Jenkinson (Nottingham Forest) £2m
Dominic Thompson (Brentford) £3m
Eddie Nketiah (Leeds) loan

Verdict: Arsenal were supposed to have a modest transfer budget. They ended up smashing their club-record fee on Pepe. Tierney looks a steal and Luiz can add much-needed experience. Ceballos could be an astute signing too.

2 | Aston Villa | Net spend: £144.5m

IN

Tom Heaton (Burnley) £8m
Marvelous Nakamba (Club Bruges) £11m
Jota (Birmingham) £4m
Anwar El Ghazi (Lille) £8m

Tommy Elphick (Huddersfield Town) Free
Alan Hutton (Released)
Mile Jedinak (Released)
Ross McCormack (Released)
Micah Richards (Retired)
Glenn Whelan (Released)
Gary Gardner (Birmingham) Undisclosed

Verdict: Fulham spent a lot last summer and went down but Villa’s approach looks far more balanced. Should survive comfortably after heavy investment.

3 | Tottenham Hotspur | Net spend: £71.8m

IN

Jack Clarke (Leeds) £10m
Tanguy Ndombele (Lyon) £55m
Ryan Sessegnon (Fulham) £25m
Giovani Lo Celso (Real Betis) Loan

Luke Amos (QPR) Loan

Kieran Trippier (Atletico Madrid) £20m
Vincent Janssen (Monterrey) £5.6m

4 | West Ham United | Net spend: £44.75m

IN

Roberto (Espanyol) Free
David Martin (Millwall) Free
Pablo Fornals (Villarreal) £25m
Sebastian Haller (Eintracht Frankfurt) £45m

IN

Angelino (PSV Eindhoven) £5.3m
Rodri (Atletico Madrid) £62.8m
Zack Steffen (Columbus Crew) £7m

Aro Muric (Nottingham Forest) Loan
Philippe Sandler (Anderlecht) Loan
Fabian Delph (Everton) £8.5m
Douglas Luiz (Aston Villa) £16.8m
Danilo (Juventus) £34.2m

Verdict: How do you improve a side that earned 98 points last season? With a new defensive midfielder and a new full-back, it seems. No major outgoings either.

6 | Everton | Net spend: £58.5m

IN

Alex Iwobi (Arsenal) £35m
Jonas Lossl (Huddersfield Town) Free
Andre Gomes (Barcelona) £22m
Fabian Delph (Manchester City) £8.5m

Ademola Lookman (RB Leipzig) £18m
Idrissa Gueye (PSG) (£30m)
Joe Williams (Wigan Athletic) Undisclosed
James McCarthy (Crystal Palace) £3m
Matthew Pennington (Hull) Loan

Verdict: Gueye will be a big loss. But Everton have made some fantastic purchases. If they had signed Zaha, it would have been some summer at Goodison Park.

7 | Wolverhampton Wanderers | Net spend: £62m

IN

Raul Jimenez (Benfica) £34m
Leander Dendoncker (Anderlecht) £12m
Jesus Vallejo (Real Madrid) Loan
Patrick Cutrone (AC Milan) £16m
Pedro Neto (Braga) £18m combined
Bruno Jordao (Braga) £18m combined

OUT

Kortney Hause (Aston Villa) £3m
Ivan Cavaleiro (Fulham) Loan

Verdict: Jimenez on a permanent deal is massive. Cutrone will give him competition. Neto and Jordao signed for the future.

8 | AFC Bournemouth | Net spend: £9.2m

IN

Arnaut Danjuma (Club Bruges) £13.7m‏
Lloyd Kelly (Bristol City) £13m
Jack Stacey (Luton Town) £4m

Matt Clarke (Portsmouth) £5m
Leandro Trossard (Genk) £18m

Jan Mlakar (QPR) Loan
Viktor Gyokeres (St Pauli) Loan
Percy Tau (Club Brugge) Loan
Markus Suttner (Fortuna Dusseldorf) Undisclosed
Matt Clarke (Derby County) Loan

Verdict: Signing Webster suggests a change to three at the back under Graham Potter. Trossard is an unknown quantity but Maupay should score goals. Kept hold of Dunk.

10 | Newcastle United | Net spend: £33.3m

IN

Jetro Willems (Eintracht Frankfurt) Loan
Allan Saint-Maximin (Nice) £16.5m
Joelinton (Hoffenheim) £40m

OUT

Mohamed Diame (Al Ahli) Free
Joselu (Alaves) £2m
Ayoze Perez (Leicester City) £30m
Joselu (Alaves) Undisclosed
Freddie Woodman (Swansea City) Loan

Verdict: It started off badly with Rafa Benitez leaving, it finished bizarrely with Andy Carroll signing. In between, a club-record fee was splashed on Joelinton. Not bad.

IN

Ayoze Perez (Newcastle United) £30m
Youri Tielemans (Monaco) £40m

Moussa Djenepo (Standard Liege) £14m
Che Adams (Birmingham City) £15m
Danny Ings (Liverpool) £20m

OUT

Steven Davis (Rangers) Free
Matt Targett (Aston Villa) £17m

Ben Woodburn (Oxford United) Loan
Simon Mignolet (Club Brugge) £6m
Harry Wilson (AFC Bournemouth) Loan
Nathaniel Phillips (Stuttgart) Loan

Verdict: The squad that won 97 points last season and are European champions are all still together. Fans would have liked a signing or two but the most important thing is that Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are still at Anfield.

Lewis Baker (Fortuna Dusseldorf) Loan
Ethan Ampadu (RB Leipzig) Loan
Matt Miazga (Reading) Loan
Kasey Palmer (Bristol City) Undisclosed
