Sky Sports have announced that Jose Mourinho will be joining their coverage team for the 2019/20 Premier League season.

The Portuguese manager, who won the title three times with Chelsea, will make his in-studio debut on Sunday when the Blues visit another of his former clubs, Manchester United.

Bringing in the 'Special One' will surely take Sky's analysis of each game to a whole new level.

"The Premier League is a special competition for me, one that takes so much hard work to win and you just can't take your eyes off the matches every week," Mourinho said of his new role, per Sky.

"It's a pleasure for me to join this team and help to understand and explain what happened in each match.

"Football is a huge passion, it means so much to the fans, and I look forward to being part of the Premier League with them until I return to my place on the touchline."

This isn't the first time that Mourinho's worked as a pundit. He had a similar role on beIN Sports last season and his appearances went down very well with football fans.

He'll no doubt show off some incredible tactical knowledge throughout the season and his strong opinions should make every appearance a must-watch.

Mourinho joins the likes of Jamie Carragher, Gary Neville and Jamie Redknapp on Sky Sports to create a line-up that's very hard to top.

Now that he's agreed to join Sky, it seems that Mourinho's return to management could be some way off.

He's reportedly had multiple offers to return to the dugout since leaving Man United and just a few weeks ago said that he 'has the fire' to make a comeback.

But the Special One is clearly waiting for the perfect opportunity to arise and until then, we'll get to enjoy him on TV every week.
