Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson is set to miss four to six weeks after suffering a suspected torn calf during Friday night's 4-1 victory over Norwich City.

The 26-year-old took a goal-kick and went to ground clutching his leg in the 38th minute, forcing Jurgen Klopp to replace him with Adrian.

According to the Daily Mail's Dominic King, the initial fears are that Alisson could miss the first Champions League group game in September.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, Klopp expressed concern at his first-choice goalkeeper's injury.

"He thought something hit him on the calf, so that's not a very good sign," Klopp told Sky Sports. "That's how it felt, so it's not a good sign and sportsmen know what I mean.

"It means it's probably a bit more than a strain, and we have to see and make the diagnosis. It doesn't look too good."
