A 4-0 win to conclude a pre-season schedule would be seen a job well done for some players, especially if you’re playing for one of the world’s best sides. However, that wasn’t the case for Frenkie de Jong. The 22-year-old helped Barca ease past Napoli in yesterday’s win but a clean sheet and a convincing performance wasn’t enough for the midfielder. That’s because after the game, footage emerged of de Jong sat with his feet up watching the whole game back as he looked for improvements.Have a see for yourself:

Absolutely brilliant attitude from de Jong there.

The 22-year-old agreed to move to the Nou Camp in January after spending the majority of his senior career at Ajax but the transfer was finalised last month.

The midfielder impressed over in the Netherlands but now has a task of living up to a £65m price tag at his new side.

However, with that attitude, it shouldn’t be too difficult for the Dutchman.

Barcelona’s victory brought an end to their pre-season schedule as they now turn their attentions to Friday’s La Liga curtain raiser at Athletic Bilbao.

Barca have been crowned champions of Spain twice on the bounce and they will have a third firmly in their sights come the end of the season.

And with the arrivals they’ve added to their squad this summer, including de Jong, it seems like another title triumph is firmly on the cards.

De Jong joined a list of arrivals which included Marc Cucurella, Emerson, Junior Firpo and £23m goalkeeper Neto.

And after the midfielder’s arrival, Barca splashed the cash for Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann, capturing his signature for a staggering £107m.

As long as they have the same attitude as de Jong, they’ll hit the ground running at the Nou Camp.
