Paris Saint-Germain fans chant 'Neymar, son of a b****' during Nimes victory

Paris Saint-Germain fans would have been ecstatic when the club managed to sign Neymar for a world record fee in 2017.

But a lot has changed in the past two years.

The Brazilian forward is forcing a move away from the club after just a couple of seasons.

Neymar is believed to want a return to Spain with both Real Madrid and Barcelona vying for his signature.

The 27-year-old angered PSG staff by delaying his return to pre-season.

And he is now refusing to play to try and force his side to sell.

PSG had their first home game of the season on Sunday. Neymar wasn't in the squad while his future remains unclear.

And PSG fans decided to let the world know exactly what they think about Neymar's actions.

During the game, fans of the club chanted: 'Neymar, son of a b****'.

They also held up offensive banners towards Neymar, one of which simply telling him to f*** off.

If there was even a slim chance that Neymar would stay at PSG, surely these messages from the fans indicate that there is no way back.

PSG didn't end up missing Neymar as they cruised to a 3-0 victory.

In response to the chants from the fans, Marco Verratti told L'Equipe: "I didn't listen to that. Supporters can say what they think.

"We are very close to Ney. He is a player who gave a lot to Paris. Last year, he scored in important moments.

"As soon as he played, we only talked about him because he is an incredible player who excites everyone.

"I think for him it's good if things are clear, if he stays or if he leaves. These are things he will manage with the club, but I want him to stay."

Kylian Mbappe also told Canal+ that the team would 'not be the same' if Neymar left.

“It depends, we will try," he said, per FoxSportsAsia.

“But we will not lie; we must also see what will happen with Neymar. It’s not the same team without Neymar as it is with him. But we will try to do it for the fans.”
