It's hard to think of a player who embodied the joy of football quite like Ronaldinho.

The shimmer, the swagger - the Brazilian was simply majestic with a ball at his feet.

And in an era when the world of football could perhaps be accused of taking itself a little too seriously, it's no wonder fans still pine for a player like him.

The 39-year-old only officially hung up his boots at the start of last year, but he hadn't been playing professionally since his seven appearances for Fluminense in his homeland in 2015, bringing to an end a glittering 17-year career.

What a career it was, too.

The World Cup in 2002, the Confederations Cup, La Liga and the Ballon d'Or in 2005. A year later, a league and Champions League double with Barcelona, before topping it all off with AC Milan's Serie A triumph in 2011.

Yet what immediately springs to mind whenever Ronaldinho's name crops up is not just his lengthy honours list, but the way he achieved those gongs.

The forward played with such an audacity and frequently pulled off skills that would never even occur to most players.

That was what made him such a pleasure to watch and as such, YouTube account Lill Nova has compiled a video of 14 of his most ridiculous skills.

Some of the above are instantly memorable, like his dancing goal in the Champions League against Chelsea, or his free-kick lob against England.

Others still defy belief. There are very few players who are so special they can earn a standing ovation at the Bernabeu while donning a Blaugrana shirt, put it that way.

A Brazilian doing bits for Barca and PSG in one of the most outstanding careers of the modern era - is there anyone comparable? Nope, absolutely not.
