The 21-year-old motorist, Jamie Chadwick, finished fourth in the final race of the women-only W Series Championship at Brands Hatch.

This has cemented her place at the top of the W Series league as she finished 10 points ahead of her nearest rival the Dutch driver Beitske Visser.

Jamie's racing journey began at age 11 when she started karting starting with success in the junior series. She is the first woman to win a British Formula 3 race and won a $500,000 winner's prize from the W Series.

During the race, she was initially leading from the pole but was overtaken by Alice Powell 11 minutes into the race. Jamie dropped to 4th place, however, this was still enough to win her the title.

Jamie says “The whole W Series experience has been incredible. At the beginning of the year, I thought it just might be a great season. I suspected that W Series had the potential to be something big, but I never expected it to be this big."

The multiple championship winner has been signed as a development driver for the Williams team, and she hopes to make it into Formula One. She is definitely one to watch in the coming seasons.
