What a summer it turned out to be for Arsenal.

The Gunners undoubtedly did the best business over the course of the window, bringing in the likes of Dani Ceballos, William Saliba, and marquee signing Nicolas Pepe.

Unai Emery also addressed their defensive frailties by snapping up Scottish star Kieran Tierney and maverick Chelsea man David Luiz.

All this came after initial reports suggested that the London club had a paltry £40 million to spend on new recruits.

As you can imagine, fans aren't complaining, but it has a left few scratching their heads as to how they possibly managed to pull off such stellar summer business.

The thread covers all areas of Arsenal's financial wizardry this summer, from net spend, player salaries, and structured payments for new players.

It makes for some very interesting reading.

There you have it.

It took some manoeuvring but through some very smart business, the Gunners got there in the end.

Emery's new-look team certainly look capable of mounting a fresh charge on the top four now.

Whether their newly acquired reinforcements will take to the Premier League remains to be seen, but these certainly are exciting times on the red side of north London.

The Gunners welcome Burnley to the Emirates this weekend before travelling north for a massive clash with Liverpool at Anfield.

Mauricio Poccehttino's Tottenham side will then come a-knocking during a two week period that could shine a light on just how good EMery's summer business was.
