On Sunday, Jose Mourinho suggested that a ‘Man City B’ side are one of four clubs capable of winning the Premier League title.
Mourinho pointed to Man City’s bench during their 5-0 win against West Ham the previous day, which included Claudio Bravo, Ilkay Gundogan, Sergio Aguero, Bernardo Silva, Joao Cancelo, Nicolas Otamendi and Phil Foden.
People laughed at Mourinho’s comments but he could well be right.
Now, it’s David Moyes’ turn to make a remarkable claim about this City side.
He appeared on talkSPORT on Monday and claimed that Pep Guardiola’s side would probably beat a side compiled of the remaining 19 Premier League clubs.

“I was trying to think the other day if you could make a Premier League team up from all the teams that could topple Man City to win the league, and I think it would be very tough [to beat City]," Moyes said.
“Even if you had a team that included all the top players in it.”
And it got us thinking.
Is Moyes right?
Would City’s best XI beat the best XI compiled from the rest of the Premier League?
Well, we’ve decided to take a look:
MAN CITY'S BEST XI
BEST OF THE REST XI
Ederson vs Alisson
Winner: Alisson
Walker vs Alexander-Arnold
Winner: Alexander-Arnold
Mendy vs Robertson
Winner: Robertson
Stones vs Van Dijk
Winner: Van Dijk
Laporte vs Maguire
Winner: Laporte
Rodri vs Kante
Winner: Kante
De Bruyne vs Eriksen
Winner: De Bruyne
Silva vs Pogba
Winner: Silva
Bernardo vs Salah
Winner: Salah
Sterling vs Mane
Winner: Sterling
Aguero vs Kane
Winner: Kane
Having looked at the two sides, we have to disagree with Moyes on this one - we make that 7-4 to the rest of the Premier League XI.
We think, defensively, the rest of the Premier League have the advantage. Although, in midfield and attack, the two sides are very similar.
One thing is for sure, we’d absolutely love to see that match at the end of the season.
Twenty-two of the best players in the Premier League sharing the same pitch would be some sight.
