WWE signs Roman Reigns to new multi-year contract

If there's one superstar everyone knew would never jump the WWE ship and join AEW, it's Roman Reigns. Now, his future has been confirmed with a new deal.

Reigns has been the cornerstone of WWE for several years now, succeeding John Cena as the face of the company when he decided to become a part-time superstar.

It's therefore unsurprising to find out that the company wants to keep him around for another couple more years.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Reigns has signed a new multi-year contract with WWE.

Pro Wrestling Sheet added in their report that The Big Dog signed on the dotted line last month for a deal that will keep him with WWE for at least a few more years, but the exact length is unclear.

Reigns still holds a lot of value for WWE as he's one of the biggest superstars in the company, so it's not surprising WWE wants to give him a new deal to make sure he stays put.

He now has a huge reach outside the company as well thanks to his success in Hollywood as well as him making his battle with leukaemia public. He's also on the cover of WWE 2K20 alongside Becky Lynch.

Nobody believes Reigns would sign for another company outside of WWE if he had the opportunity, but WWE has been doing everything they can recently to avoid losing any superstars to rival companies like AEW.

No doubt, his new deal will lead to plenty of title reigns in the future, and it's quite clear as well that he will remain one of the top superstars in the company.

As for right now, on SmackDown, Reigns is currently involved in a mystery attacker storyline with Buddy Murphy, Daniel Bryan and Rowan.

It's believed that the storyline will result in a match between Reigns and Bryan further down the line.
