Seth Rollins' first challenger as Universal Champion for the second time in his WWE career could very well be Braun Strowman.

Rollins was saved by Strowman earlier this week on Monday Night Raw when he was attacked by The OC during his Champion vs Champion match with United States Champion AJ Styles.

The two had an exchange in the ring afterward as The Monster Among Men handed The Beastslayer his Universal title back and the two shook hands as Raw went off the air.

Now it looks like WWE wants to continue to develop the relationship between Rollins and Strowman further by having the two feud.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, via Cageside Seats, Seth Rollins vs Braun Strowman is WWE's current plan for the Universal Championship at Clash of Champions next month.

The Beastslayer won back the Universal title at SummerSlam last weekend in a match against Brock Lesnar, who defeated him for the title when he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract at Extreme Rules.

If WWE books Rollins vs Strowman, it will be The Monster Among Men's first Universal Championship match since he faced Lesnar for the title at Crown Jewel in November last year.

There's every chance The Beast could find a way to get himself involved in this Clash of Champions match as well, as Paul Heyman announced this week on Raw that he was unhappy he wasn't allowed to have a rematch following his SummerSlam loss.

Strowman is one of those superstars that has always been tipped to be given a chance to reach for the brass ring in WWE thanks to his sheer size and agility, but he is yet to be successful in the main title picture.

In fact, he's never actually won a singles title in WWE. His only title reign to date is a Raw Tag Team Championship reign which lasted one day alongside Nicolas Cone, the son of WWE referee John Cone.

We'll have to wait until Clash of Champions to see if The Monster Among Men is given an opportunity to change that if he's given a Universal title match against Rollins.
