Mike Tyson is an iconic figure in the world of boxing, but since the former undisputed heavyweight champ hung up his gloves, many have questioned what the 53-year-old does to pass the time.

‘Kid Dynamite’ revealed last night on his podcast Hot Boxin', that he and his co-host smoke approximately $40,000 worth of pot each month on his California ranch where he grows cannabis.

“What do we smoke a month?” Tyson asked his colleague Eben Britton. “Is it $40,000 a month? It’s $40, yeah, $40,000 a month.

“We smoke 10 tons of weed at the ranch a month easily,” Britton added.

Tyson broke ground on a 40-acre ranch earlier this year to both grow marijuana and research the effects of the drug. The new company said on its website that it aims to create “Better Cannabis” for its customers.

The 53-year-old also confirmed his ranch sells around $500,000 in cannabis to dispensaries in California and Nevada each month.

He has been involved in the pot industry since 2005 and has profited significantly from his drug fuelled venture.

Tyson’s rise to the pinnacle of boxing and stunning fall from grace will long be remembered by fight fans across the globe.

He retired in 2005 earning 50 wins with 44 KOs in a storied career and still holds the record as the youngest fighter to win a heavyweight title aged 20.

On the other end of the spectrum, ‘Iron Mike’ served three years in prison in the early 90’s following a conviction of raping a beauty pageant contestant, and has long since battled drug and alcohol addiction.

The former heavyweight champ also declared bankruptcy in 2003 despite amassing a $300 million fortune in his boxing career.
