Liverpool claimed their second trophy under Jurgen Klopp by beating Chelsea on penalties in the UEFA Super Cup.

Having been absolutely dominated by the Blues in the first half, Klopp’s side rallied remarkably in the second and could easily have won it within the 90 minutes.

However, Chelsea held on and forced the game into extra time where the drama only escalated.

A sublime Sadio Mane finish was cancelled out by the most casual of Jorginho penalties before Stephanie Frappart called the game to a halt.

The shootout proved to be quite a tense affair with neither side willing to give any sort of quarter right up until the last penalty.

When Tammy Abraham took that long, lonely walk from the centre of the par, all nine of the prior spot-kicks had been dispatched.

Sadly for the youngster, someone has to miss.

Liverpool’s deputy keeper Adrian saved with his legs to secure yet more silverware for Klopp.

Judging by the celebrations in the immediate aftermath, the bespectacled German was quite pleased with his stopper.

Klopp charged straight for the Spaniard, reaching him before most of the on-field players even managed it.

It was typical Klopp celebration and the fans absolutely loved it.

However, having gone viral for a brilliant post-game interview following June’s Champions League triumph, Kopites waited with bated breath to see what their beloved boss would produce this time.

If you thought ‘Let’s talk about six, baby’ was good, wait until you see what Klopp had to say this time.

“ADRIANNN - Just like Rocky!”

Brilliant.

Klopp made sure his goalie - who had looked wobbly at times - got all the praise he deserved.

Liverpool fans will surely be watching the clip above on loop for many a day to come.

Now, the Reds will turn their attention back to the Premier League as they look to negotiate a tricky trip to Southampton at the weekend.

For now, though, feel free to enjoy a euphoric Klopp trying out his best Rocky impression.

What a man.
