Neymar, Neymar, Neymar.

Everywhere you have turned this summer you’ve been greeted by some sort of controversy surrounding the Brazilian.

The 27-year-old’s reported departure from Paris Saint Germain has become the transfer saga to end all transfer sagas and still, no end is in sight.

At first it looked certain that he would return to former club Barcelona before fellow Spanish giants Real Madrid threw their names into the hat.

Then, it looked as though he would be staying at PSG before the cycle went and started all over again.

Now, it has been confirmed by Spanish football expert Guilleme Ballague that the French champions have rejected bids form both Real and Barcelona for the former Brazilian captain.

Both bids would have had most clubs snapping the hands-off those offering them, but not PSG.

According to Balague, the Parisians have turned down an offer from Catalonia for £100 and Philippe Coutinho.

On top of that, they somehow turned their nose up at an offer that included both James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale from Madrid, asking for Vinicius instead.

Madness.

PSG obviously value their world-record signing very highly and, despite his questionable behaviour, are not about to let him go for pocket change.

Neymar’s Parisian adventure has lurched from one controversy to the next and he will surely be regretting ever leaving Barcelona.

It seems he is no longer welcome in France either, after fans held up a banner telling him to ‘go away’ during their Ligue 1 opener against Nimes.

After a summer littered with rumours, it is still difficult to see how this one will end.

One thing for sure, it is going to take an absolutely bonkers offer to get the French side to budge.

Fortunately, Real Madrid and Barcelona have the resources to pull off something bonkers.
