Dani Ceballos already has as many PL assists as Mesut Ozil managed last season

Arsenal FC v Burnley FC - Premier League

Arsenal have found their new Santi Cazorla - and his name is Dani Ceballos.

Saturday's 2-1 victory over Burnley saw the Real Madrid loanee start in central midfield alongside Matteo Guendouzi and he absolutely dominated.

Ceballos oozed class as he dictated play in the middle, danced past Burnley's players with his quick feet and won back possession in key areas.

Arsenal fans cheered every time he was in possession, not because he's a new signing, but because everything he did was positive and demonstrated his qualities.

If only the Gunners had managed to sign him permanently.

Granit Xhaka - who was out injured - and Lucas Torreira - who started on the bench - ought to be concerned about game time going forward with Ceballos now in the picture.

And so too should Mesut Ozil. The 30-year-old was in attendance at the Emirates Stadium but wasn't included due to illness.

Ceballos is capable of playing in the No.10 role and Unai Emery may well look to push him forward after his performance against Burnley.

Both of Arsenal's goals were set up by the Spaniard, who already has as many assists as Ozil managed last season (2).

Now that's a damning statistic for Ozil if we've ever seen one.

Ceballos was so good on his full Premier League debut that he received a standing ovation when he was substituted for Torreira in the 83rd minute.

He covered more ground than anyone else, too, which is exactly the kind of work rate Arsenal fans want to see from their midfield this season.
