Stipe Miocic is the new UFC Heavyweight Champion after defeating Daniel Cormier in the main event of UFC 241.Miocic won the UFC Heavyweight title for the second time in his career after beating Cormier with 4:09 gone in the fourth round of their UFC 241 contest via TKO (punches) at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. The main event clash was a close one until the fourth round began. With around a minute to go in the round, Stone Cold was delivering a few jabs to DC's body when he fired a right at DC's head.Miocic smelling blood, then delivered a flurry of punches to Cormier, who slid down the side of the Octagon and onto the canvas. After a closer inspection from the referee, the fight was brought to an end since DC wasn't defending himself and Stone Cold was crowned UFC Heavyweight Champion for the second time in his career.

Miocic had originally won the UFC Heavyweight title against Fabrício Werdum at UFC 198 in May 2016, and he successfully defended it three times before losing it to Cormier at UFC 226 in July of last year.

Now, he's got the title back at the first time of asking.

After the fight, many UFC fans and fighters made sure to give Stone Cold the praise he deserves. Both UFC commentator Joe Rogan and UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones called him the greatest heavyweight champion of all time.

Prior to the fight, he already had wins over Roy Nelson, Gabriel Gonzaga, Fabio Maldonado, Mark Hunt, Andrei Arlovski, Fabricio Werdum, Alistair Overeem, Junior dos Santos, and Francis Ngannou. After tonight, he adds Cormier to that impressive list of names.

Miocic said in his post-fight interview, via Sporting News: "DC's a tough motherf---er. I'm going to give it to him. Thank god because that motherf---er's tough and he kept coming. It's a fight, anything can happen."

Miocic now has a record of 19-3 in MMA, standing at 13-3 in UFC, while Cormier slips to a 22-2 record in MMA and an 11-2 record in UFC.

Cormier said after the fight that he would speak to his wife about his UFC future since he's been talking about possible retirement now for the past year.

One would think that if DC opts to stay out of retirement for the time being, a third and final fight will be booked between Miocic and Cormier to wrap up an epic trilogy of fights.
