It's been exactly eight months since Jose Mourinho left his post as Manchester United manager.

The Portuguese manager lost his job after a tumultuous two-and-a-half years at the club.

However, despite his success, Mourinho is still without a club.

Mourinho is one of the most accomplished managers in the game.

He's managed the very best clubs in the world and has won multiple trophies, including two Champions Leagues.

The 58-year-old has stayed in football, having done punditry work for a number of companies, including Sky Sports.

But despite keeping busy, Mourinho has continually expressed his desire to return to the dugout.

Last month, Mourinho claimed that he missed football and was even learning German in order to prepare for a future role.

"I miss football, the adrenaline, the pitch, my work. Football is football,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport, per FourFourTwo.

"Right now, I’m studying German. I didn’t know this language.

“I speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Italian. I don’t exclude anything, not even Germany.”

Mourinho is currently in his longest spell away from the game for over a decade.

And footage has now emerged of Mourinho almost tearing up while claiming that he misses management.

"The moment I went to professional football was when I had the click," he said.

"Now, it's serious. It's serious stuff. It's been serious stuff until now. Now it's stopped and instead of enjoy it, I can't really enjoy it. I miss it."

You can see just how passionate he is still for the game.

Mourinho has spent 19 years in management having taken his first job at Benfica in 2000.

Let's hope he returns to the game as soon as possible. Football is a much, much better place with him in it.
